Is there an ocean view? Yes, our condo has a clear ocean
view. Both have an ocean view from the lanai (porch) and living room.
How far is it from the ocean/beach? Our condo is
60 yards from the ocean. It is very
close to the water compared to most resorts in Maui! Click here
to see exactly where our condo is (beware the picture is kind of big,
so if may load slow if you have a slow internet connection)
Is our availability calendar up to date and accurate? Yes,
it is up to date. If we do not have availability, we have a friend who
has another condo as well as 2 houses that might have availability.

What are the sleeping arrangements? There is a king
size bed in the master bedroom; 2 twin beds that push together to be
a queen (with queen sized sheets) and a hide-a-bed in the family room.
Is there internet access? Yes, Papakea has a great wireless high speed internet connection (802.11-G).
Are there restaurants nearby? Yes, there are 3 within walking
distance and probably about 100 within 3 miles.
Is there a grocery store nearby? Yes, there is a full size
grocery store within walking distance, right across the road.
Is there shopping nearby? There is a decent size strip mall
within walking distance, right across the road. But the real shopping
is in Lahaina about 3 miles away or at Whalers Village which is less
than 2 miles away.
Is there free parking? - Yes, many other hotels and condos
charge significant daily parking fees; but it is free at Papakea.
Is the snorkeling good right in front of Papakea? Yes, there
is a reef which protects swimmers and snorkelers.
Are there good waves for boogie boarding or surfing? If you
want waves to boogie board, they are a couple hundred yards away, to
the North or South. Waves vary by season, generally the waves are big
on the North side of the islands in the winter, and big on South side
in the summer. We are on the West side, so it depends greatly on the
direction of any current swells. Ask at a local surf shop.
Should I bring towels or sheets? Linens, towels and beach towels
are included. We try to have some beach towels for guests use, but you
may want to bring some of your own.
May we have a crib for our baby? Cribs, rollaways, crutches,
wheelchairs and etc can be provided at an additional charge from Wild
Wheel Rentals at 800-339-4743 or Babies Away at 808-875-9030.
What Is The Cancellation Policy? If you need to cancel, you
need to give 60 days written notice prior to arrival for full refund
(minus $100 transaction fee), otherwise the deposit will be forfeited.
